TSA Guidance for Travelers

The TSA provides general traveler information on guidelines and regulations.

CLEAR is available at Reagan National

Clear is a registered travelers program that allows members to bypass the traditional document check at the security checkpoint.  Customers visit a CLEAR kiosk located in a designated lane at the security checkpoints.  At the kiosk, customers scan their boarding pass and provide a biometric scan of their finger or eye to instantly verify their identity.  After verification, a CLEAR representative will escort the customer into the screening area.  CLEAR is available at all of the security checkpoints.  Look for the CLEAR logo or Representative.  The CLEAR kiosk is available to customers the same operating hours as the checkpoint.  Visit for more information or visit a CLEAR enrollment kiosk at Reagan National located near the security checkpoints.

TSA Precheck

TSA Precheck is a program that allows enrolled customers to expedite security screening.  Customers enter the designated Precheck lane at each checkpoint for identification and enrollment verification by TSA.  Customer, once verified, proceed to the Precheck screening area leaving their shoes and belts on, and leaving laptops, liquids, etc. in their bags.  Information about eligibility and the application process can be found at the TSA Precheck website or at the TSA Precheck Enrollment Center at Reagan National.  The TSA Precheck Enrollment Center is located next to baggage claim 6 in Terminal B/C and is open Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm.  The Center is closed Saturday and Holidays.  Walk-ins are accepted, however, appointments are given priority.

International Travelers

Reagan National has a limited number of international flights. All immigration and customs screenings for these flights take place prior to boarding at the point of origination.
