Reagan National Airport welcomes 12,000 athletes from 70 countries to Fairfax for the World Police and Fire Games June 26 - July 5, 2015. Travelers, take note of these options and amenities:
Ground Transportation
- Reagan National is connected by walkway to a Metrorail station, where you can ride trains to locations around the region, including Wiehle-Reston East (closest station to Athlete's Village).
- On-Airport Rental Cars are located on the first floor of Parking Garage A. Ride airport shuttles that say "Rental Cars" on the display.
- Taxis to DC, MD and VA are available along the first curb outside each terminal's baggage claim areas. Click here for estimated fares.
- Many nearby hotels operate airport shuttles - check with your specific hotel for info and schedule.
In the Airport
- An airport welcome booth is planned for arriving Games participants. Details will be posted here.
- We have plenty of new shopping and dining options in every terminal to satisfy your tastebuds and to buy a souvenir.
- For your return flight, every TSA checkpoint has a TSA Pre✓™ lane, which you can use if your boarding pass says "TSA Pre✓™"on it.
Welcome Center Planned for Arriving Athletes and Spectators
Upon your flight arrival, plan to stop by the World Police and Fire Games welcome booth on the arrivals level of the terminal. Dates/hours of operation: (to be announced). At other times, visit our Travelers Aid Information desks for information.
Orientation Map
If you are renting a car, your local trips will likely include the Dulles Toll Road. Please visit our website for toll information. Consider purchasing an E-ZPass in advance, for maximum convenience. The passes are not available from the rental car companies.
