Reagan National Airport will be undergoing a carefully coordinated redevelopment of Terminal 2 amenities over the next several years. The program is designed to deliver significant improvements for airport customers while minimizing disruptions that accompany construction projects. Passengers will notice construction walls in post-security areas where changes are underway.  The project focuses on introducing enhanced shopping and dining options, creating innovative spaces to relax in National Hall and at the gates, as well as upgrading the restroom experience. 

During excessive tarmac delays and to the extent practicable, Reagan National Airport supports our airline partners in the deplanement of passengers from aircraft.  We also assist with the coordination of support facilities and gates, if available, and ensure the airline provides a sterile area for passengers who have not yet cleared U.S. Customs and Border Protection check points, to the extent practicable.  For full access to the plan, or to learn more, please review the full Emergency Contingency Plan contained in this link.

Offering student groups a firsthand glimpse into airport operations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

For assistance while traveling through our Airport, be sure to stop by one of our Information Desks staffed by Travelers Aid Volunteers. Easily identifiable by their royal blue vests, these volunteer professionals have knowledge of the Airport and many local attractions.  Information Desks Locations:

The Airport offers language assistance access through our volunteer staff at the Information Counters. The volunteer can assist you in getting connected to a language interpretation line. This service is offered Sunday through Friday from 8 am to 9 pm. Saturday the service is provided from 8 am to 7 pm.
