2023 NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL: MARCH 18 - APRIL 16
WASHINGTON, DC

The National Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to Washington, DC in 1912. It also honors the friendship between the United States and Japan. The Festival returns in 2023 for four weeks, attracts over 1.5 million people, and offers diverse programming showcasing traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit.
